Grammy-winning star Whitney Houston shined on stage while performing at the
Pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons Honoring David Geffen
at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The star was snapped donning a backless, embroidered, silver-beaded column
gown from the Spring 2011 collection of designer Pamella Roland. For spring,
the Roland woman embodies modern elegance, femininity and power, all traits
associated with Houston's powerhouse voice.
“I understand what it's like to have a woman's body, and I focus on fit,” says the New York
-based designer who launched her collection in 2011 and is a Hollywood red carpet favorite
for celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Gabourey Sidibe and Queen Latifah.
