Hi fans, fellows
I wanted to contact you to make you aware of what next the FAMWH i.e Fight Against the Media have planned.As you know, we are a group of fans from all over the world who are frankly fed up with the way the media have been profiling Whitney. It is not the true stories that irritate us, even if they don't paint her in a positive light, it is the frankly made up stories, the exaggerations and the attempt to discredit her and not give her her due when it is warranted.
The next phase is to establish a Rapid Response Team aka RRT. What we are hoping to do is to get a group of fans together who will responde rapidly to blog post, article posts which are posted about Whitney and to some extent Krissi when obviously wrong. We were initially looking to recruit 10 strong fans but I think that we have exceeded that number so we have upped our goal to 15 hoping to eventually get it to 50 members.
Just think what we can do even with just 15 members. Take in point, the Bossip article that was posted about Whitney- for Bossip, it wasn't as bad as they normally get and suprisingly, many of the casual, non-whitney fans supported her and went after Bossip. The same happened in the Media Fake Out story re Krissi. With 15 strong members, we are hoping to go to those stories and post :
clarifications
the truth
point out lies
point out inconsistencies
provide links to accurate stories etc
At the beginning 15 may not be large to make a big effect but if each person leaves 2 comments,t hat would be 30 and that my friend would be sufficient for bloggers/authors to take notice. If we are able to do this on a consistent basis, I stronly believe that bloggers/authors will come to realize that:
Whitney Houston does have an ardent, faithful fan base
That she has a viable and strong presence on the net
That they should think long and hard about posting fabricated or B.S stories about her because they will be held accountable when her fans discredit the articles
That hopefully this brings about a decrease in such articles and even bring on more positive articles.
With the hope that Whitney does do a mini tour in the US or even becomes visible with paparazzi shots or whatever her next endeavour, we hope to make a difference.
Can we count on you for your support? The logistics of how this would work are still being thought out but we may post an alert on the FAMWH facebook site or email you directly or even posts alers on CW or WF. If you have any ideas, be sure to let us know as we are looking for not only support but ideas and motivated fans who would actually once committing take the 2 minutes or so to leave posts.
Let me know what you think and if we can count on you. If not, it's still ok and your ideas would still be welcome. FAMWH is off to a great start and the support has been good so far.
